Dr. Yousef Ghandour, DPT, MOMT, FAAOMPT is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists (FAAOMPT-FF011) with over four decades of clinical, teaching, and leadership experience in orthopedic physical therapy. He completed advanced manual therapy training at the Ola Grimsby Institute in 1994 and has served as a faculty member and board examiner there. Dr. Ghandour is an adjunct faculty member at the University of St. Augustine since 2017, a guest lecturer at San Diego State University, and at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine. As a lifelong learner, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, summa cum laude, with a focus on executive leadership from the University of St. Augustine in 2021 and received the Force for Good award from the same institution. He is certified in SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis), the Italian method for scoliosis management.
Currently, he is a partner and full-time clinician at PRN Physical Therapy in the UTC/La Jolla Area, mentoring future leaders in Physical Therapy through our Bench Builder program and clinically advancing their skills to become better diagnosticians.
Dr. Ghandour is a contributing member of several physical therapy organizations, including the American Physical Therapy Association, the California State Physical Therapy Association, the Orthopedic Section of the APTA, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FAAOMPT), Associate Fellow of the Scoliosis Research Society (SRS). His clinical and educational interests include spinal biomechanics, differential diagnosis, manual therapy, and neuromuscular rehabilitation. Dr. Ghandour has contributed to the advancement of orthopedic physical therapy education through teaching, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
